more details » Cheeky Monkey Comedy Club - 'So You Think You're Funny' competition The Cheeky Monkey comedy club has the Midlands heat of the annual 'So You Think You're Funny' comedy competition on Tuesday 22nd June. The 'So You Think You're Funny' is the longest running and most prestitgious of the national 'best newcomer' competitions in Britain. For our heat on Tuesday there are 14 comedians who have being performing for less than year. They each have 7 minutes of material with which to convince the judges that they should make it into the finals in August at the Edinburgh Festival. These comedy heats are very fast and furious with acts who range from the terrible, to the bizarre to the brilliant. Compere for the evening is Geoff Whiting who is a regular TV warm-up comedian for shows such as Armstrong and Miller to That Mitchell and Webb Look. Prices: £5 (£4 concessions) plus a '£1 off the next show' voucher.
